Another major practice area upon which our firm was built is the representation of municipalities in all forms -- from handling municipal boards to acting as Justice Court prosecutors to providing litigation defense when a town, village, or city is sued. We are currently seeking attorneys with solid municipal law experience as described below to support our existing and growing client base in this area. We take the practice of law seriously, and we enjoy working together as a team to maintain high standards. The position is onsite in New Windsor, located in the Lower Hudson Valley. We do offer the flexibility of occasional remote work for work/life balance. *The Position*_*Qualifications*_· JD from an accredited Law School · Licensed to practice law in New York · Significant, recent New York State municipal law experience representing municipal boards including the preparation of local laws and resolutions · Related experience representing companies with land use matters is not required but viewed favorably · Superior oral communication and presentation skills · Must be available to attend night meetings throughout Orange County, as well as in surrounding counties such as Dutchess, Putnam, and Ulster · Familiarity with and interest in living in the Lower Hudson Valley to maximize business development and networking · Passion for the practice of law _*Responsibilities*_· Independently manage a municipal law caseload by attending meetings, preparing resolutions and local laws, providing legal advice on a variety of matters to municipal clients, and associated work · Work closely and collaborate with other attorneys and Partners on legal matters · Communicate effectively with Drake Loeb staff and attorneys, clients, vendors, and outside attorneys · Other related duties as assigned *Why Should You Apply?* In addition to the benefits listed, we offer attorneys: · 20% Origination Pay on Net Fees Collected on top of base pay · Safe Harbor plan · Professional development support · Excellent growth and advancement opportunities, including partner track and yearly base pay review · Collaborative environment where everyone enjoys working together · Salary offered within the stated range will be determined commensurate with experience; highly qualified attorneys may be considered for base salary offer outside of this range Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k)* Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Relocation assistance Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
