Chubb's Recreational Marine Insurance Department is accepting applications to fill an underwriting position within the National U.The primary focus of the position will be recreational marine, boats and yachts with a wide variety of customer types.. The Underwriter will be responsible for driving financial performance and assisting the team in reaching their overall goals.

Meet or exceed financial goals including rate, growth, profit, retention, and new business
Identify and target profitable new business opportunities
Use appropriate written and verbal communication to effectively respond to internal and external customers
Travel within assigned territory
Initiate and participate in all activities necessary to best serve customer and team needs
Participate in team projects and perform other duties, as required
Work collaboratively and effectively with a team of underwriters, underwriting associates, customer service representatives, claims examiners, and loss control representatives
Good knowledge of insurance principles and procedures
Strong knowledge of Recreational Marine underwriting criteria, forms and rating procedures
Strong customer service orientation
High school diploma or equivalent
~ 2-5 years of recreational marine insurance experience
~ Strong working knowledge of computer systems, including but not limited to: ORCA, yacht/boat systems, Microsoft Office, internet, etc.
