Job Title: Chemist III (Polymer Chemist Research Scientist) Location: Cincinnati, OH Duration: 6 months contract (Potential Extensions) Top 3 skills: polymer rheology, thermal and solution chromatography. (DSC, TGA, DMA, Rheometer, CEF, GPC ) Role Summary: Evaluate the chemical and physical properties of organic and inorganic substances within a polymer research facility. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate GCMS, LCMS, and FTIR instruments Develop and validate analytical methods for testing and reporting Interpret data and write detailed technical reports Conduct day-to-day equipment maintenance and ensure readiness Address customer complaints through analytical investigation Work independently with creativity and sound judgment Ensure safety compliance in all activities Support field assignments as required Qualifications: PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering 2-5+ years of relevant experience (more preferred) Strong knowledge of GCMS, LCMS, FTIR techniques Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical analyses Proficient in using software for data analysis and reporting Effective communication skills for both technical writing and presentations
