About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Orange, CA. This role is perfect for recent graduates or professionals with 1–2 years of accounting experience who want to grow their skills in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with our experienced accounting team to support accurate financial reporting and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations: Assist with daily and monthly close activities, including reconciling bank and credit card statements, verifying deposits across stores, resolving variances, maintaining a clean general ledger, and preparing weekly/monthly sales summaries. Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Systems & Reporting: Post transactions in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), generate balance sheets and P&L reports, maintain documentation, and assist with sales tax reporting (CA/NY/GA) and 1099 preparation. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Retail & POS Support: Maintain POS price updates, compile evidence for chargebacks, and reconcile USPS/UPS data.
Accounts Payable & Administrative: Match invoices and POs, process vendor payments and credits, support expense workflows, coordinate with domestic and overseas finance teams, and assist with insurance and audit documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
Bilingual in English and Chinese (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with our overseas team.
Proficient in Excel; experience with QuickBooks Desktop/Online. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred: Experience with POS systems (Epicor/Clover), sales tax filings, chargeback handling, and basic payroll/ADP reporting.
