Director of Operations – North America & Canada

Location: Woodland, WA (On-Site)

Salary: $145,000 ‒ $185,000 Annually

Employers Overload is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Operations to oversee and drive operational performance across both North American and Canadian markets. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a deep understanding of cross-border operations, regulatory compliance, and market-specific challenges.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-regional operations and possess a strong international mindset, ensuring efficiency, process optimization, and continued growth in both regions. The Director will collaborate closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to align business objectives, drive operational excellence, and enhance customer satisfaction across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational strategy & execution across North America and Canada, ensuring alignment with business goals and regional market demands.
  • Oversee multi-site operations , optimizing processes for efficiency, resource utilization, and quality control while maintaining high performance standards across borders.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets for both North American and Canadian regions, implementing cost-effective measures without sacrificing quality.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with local, national, and international policies, particularly in Canada's operational and legal landscape.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage multi-regional teams, fostering a high-performance culture while navigating the complexities of international workforce management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies and industry best practices to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure operational strategies support corporate growth and expansion objectives.
  • Develop risk management strategies, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards across all locations.
  • Travel as required to oversee operations in Canada and across North America.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field ( Master's preferred ).

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with a minimum of 5 years overseeing operations in both the U.S. and Canada .
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing large-scale budgets and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge of Canadian business regulations, labor laws, and operational compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading multi-site, international teams, navigating cultural and logistical challenges.
  • Proficiency in ERP, CRM, and operational management tools to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to travel frequently within North America and Canada as necessary.

This is a fully on-site position at our Woodland, WA facility .
