About the Role My client is seeking a Project Engineer to support affordable housing and mixed-use developments on Oahu. This role is a blend of field support, coordination, documentation, and schedule management, with direct involvement in multi-story residential construction and community-driven projects. It’s a strong fit for someone who wants to grow within a reputable GC while contributing to work that improves housing availability across Hawai‘i. Key Responsibilities Review, route, and track submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and document clarifications. Support Superintendents and Project Managers with daily field coordination. Assist with project schedule updates (Primavera P6 or MS Project), identifying delays and helping implement recovery plans. Manage procurement tracking, long-lead items, and vendor coordination. Maintain QA/QC logs, testing requirements, inspection records, and compliance documentation. Support project cost tracking, monthly reporting, and progress documentation. Prepare daily logs, safety records, and field reports in alignment with company standards. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and government agencies to resolve design and permitting issues. Role Expectations Maintain a steady presence both in the field and office. Communicate clearly with superintendents, subcontractors, design partners, and consultants. Uphold my client’s standards for quality, safety, and community impact. Anticipate conflicts early — design, sequencing, or logistics — and bring forward solutions. Manage multiple scopes and trade packages with accuracy and organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. 3–6 years of vertical or commercial construction experience , ideally in residential or mixed-use projects. Familiarity with affordable housing requirements and permitting processes is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; experience with P6 or MS Project preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Why Join My Client?
