As a Principal Product Manager - Audience Platform for Microsoft AI, you will help businesses that want to grow and expand their business using our products, data, and services through advertising and new business models that unlock AI-first products. This role requires consistent knowledge and deep awareness of the emerging AI industry to develop new products as we have the freedom and flexibility to use the best technology in service of our customer. We work within Microsoft AI (MAI), an organization responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, MSN, and other AI-first products. The organization has all the ingredients needed for success with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go To Market functions partnering as peers with shared goals. This enables close collaboration and rapid decision making. We work closely with talented engineers, designers, marketers, creatives, customers, partners, and go-to-market teams to design and develop products tailored for our customer's benefit. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction. Responsibilities Partner across product, engineering, data science, research and design to launch audience targeting features that drive reach, improve targeting precision, and maximize advertiser performance outcomes. Build rich, privacy-safe user and audience profiles that combine behavioral, contextual, and identity signals to power accurate audience targeting and measurement. Expand and refine how behavioral, contextual, and advertiser-supplied attributes are captured, modeled and activated for ads targeting and audience segmentation. Evaluate and onboard external data partners and enrichment sources for creating and strengthening user profile quality and coverage. Partner with data science to explore LLM- and ML-driven approaches to automate audience /segment creation, trait inference, and audience expansion. Improve how identity, signal ingestion, and activation systems work together, driving better data quality, scalability, and end-to-end performance. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 5+ years experience delivering products that include data, audience, or advertising platform products. 2+ years of experience with audience profiling, segmentation, or data enrichment systems. Experience working with data science or machine learning teams on modeling, trait inference, or audience expansion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advertising or marketing technology platforms [e.g., Demand Side Platform (DSPs), Data Management Plan (DMPs), Customer Data Platform (CDPs), and data collaboration systems]. Understanding of signal acquisition across web, mobile, and partner ecosystems. Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
