Search Announcement Search for the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer University of Washington Seattle, WA Overview The University of Washington (UW) seeks a strategic, dynamic, and proven financial leader to serve as its next Senior Vice President for Finance, Planning & Budgeting and Chief Financial Officer (SVP / CFO). The SVP / CFO reports to the President and, to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for academic planning support, budgeting, and institutional analytics. The role joins a highly collaborative executive leadership team that advises the President, the Provost, and the Board of Regents in determining institutional priorities, goals, policies, and programs. As chief financial officer, the SVP / CFO is responsible for stewardship of the Universitys resources, accountability for its financial performance, and alignment, risk mitigation, efficiency, and effectiveness of its financial operations. Key Qualifications A Masters degree and a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in finance, budgeting, enterprise operations, state operations, or a related field in a higher education setting are required for consideration. An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skill may substitute for a degree. Key Responsibilities Direct the central business, planning, and analytical services that support the Universitys mission. Provide strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis. Ensure the alignment, risk mitigation, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Universitys financial resources and operations. Advise senior leadership and the Board of Regents on financial matters, institutional priorities, and policy decisions. Salient Details The annual budget is $11.75billion (including a $1.8billion general operating fund). The base salary range is $525,000$575,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
