Occupational Therapist School Setting in Albemarle, NC

Job DescriptionJob Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. A school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available to provide support within a K-12 educational setting. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal. The position offers part-time hours with flexibility based on candidate availability.
Albemarle, NC (school sites to be determined)
The OT will work alongside an existing solo Occupational Therapist, assisting with evaluations, supporting IEP-related services, and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). This position does not include carrying an independent caseload, making it well-suited for experienced school-based OTs seeking a flexible schedule.
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students within the K-12 setting
Collaborate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide supervision and guidance to COTAs
Support educational teams to ensure compliance with school-based therapy requirements
Active state occupational therapy license required
Reliable transportation to various school sites
Ability to work flexible, part-time hours
Flexible scheduling to accommodate part-time availability
Virtual interview process via Microsoft Teams for convenience
