The Department of Neurosurgery and the Center for Spine Health in the Neurological Institute at the Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full time, spine neurosurgeon to join a team of multi-disciplinary providers in our Western Region including Fairview and Lutheran Hospital. Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute (NI) offers a patient centered, disease-specific approach to neurological care. The Cleveland Clinic neurology and neurosurgical services consistently receive high rankings in multiple national rankings related to patient care, education, and places to work. The applicant must be a BC/BE neurosurgeon, preferentially fellowship trained in spine. Surgical volume focuses primarily on complex and routine spine cases. The newly recruited neurosurgeon will participate in combined general neurosurgery/trauma call. Call is on average 1:6 with APP teams providing first call. Additional responsibilities will include clinical care, teaching, and research activities. The Center features fellowship programs in both spine surgery and spine medicine, the former of which is the largest in the United States. In addition to a dynamic, collaborative clinical and surgical practice, the position requires the participation in resident and fellow teaching as well as basic, translational, biomechanical and/or clinical research. Clinicians in the Center for Spine Health work closely with other specialists in the Neurological Institute, particularly in the Center for Neuroimaging to provide evidence-informed, comprehensive world class spine care.
