Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care Join a dedicated healthcare team at a reputable outpatient clinic in Batavia, Ohio. This locum position is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner specialized in wound care, providing coverage to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care while permanent hires are secured. Job Responsibilities:
Treat various skin reactions and prevent skin breakdown
Manage and treat vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers
Initiate preventative measures and provide comprehensive wound management
Apply topical therapies and educate patients and their support systems on care techniques
Assess and treat draining wounds and fistulae
Implement actions to reduce incidences of pressure and vascular ulcers
Provide instruction on proper wound dressing and prevention
Supervise hyperbaric oxygen treatment
Qualifications:
Experience in wound care
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
License and Certification Requirements:
Active and unrestricted Ohio Nurse Practitioner license - REQUIRED
BLS certification - REQUIRED
ACLS certification preferred for Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy
