Principal Data Scientist
The Bing organization is looking for a Principal Data Scientist. These metrics guide the Bing team and help engineers make informed ship decisions for thousands of online controlled experiments. com worldwide each month, presenting a large opportunity to grow further. Inform future directions of Bing’s A/B experimentation platform and drive improvements.
Understand A/B online experiments, online user engagement, and produce actionable, trustworthy conclusions.
Develop strategies for understanding correlation between key Bing metrics and define overall ship decision criteria.
Develop tools to help analyze metric movements and help feature teams understand why changes impact the metrics.
Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data‑science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, and reporting results).
OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 7+ years data‑science experience.
OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 10+ years data‑science experience.
Experience in SQL‑like query languages.
Experience in design and problem‑solving skills with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
Familiarity with online A/B experimentation.
Familiarity with large‑scale online products and online instrumentation.
Experience with large datasets and interest in consumer online search behaviors.
