The Peck School, a coed, K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks an individual to provide general full-time support to the Upper School. This position is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with middle school students to gain experience as a teacher among an experienced and dedicated faculty.
Instructional Support: Coverage Support: Serve as a substitute teacher, covering Upper School classes and duties as needed (grades 5-8).
Divisional Support: Work with the Upper School Division Office and Dean of Students, supporting the organization and running of various tasks, events, and initiatives.
Each faculty member receives their own duty schedule. Coaching and/or facilitating an activity can be duty opportunities.
Meetings & Professional Development: Participate in all required professional development activities and meetings, including division meetings, scheduled collaboration time, professional development days, and end-of-year meetings.
A bachelors degree is required.
Previous experience working with middle school students is a plus.
Communication Skills: Use excellent oral and written communication skills to maintain open communication channels with peers, administrators, faculty, and students. A flexible mindset. Consistent, positive collaboration with a team of talented faculty and supportive administrators. Dedication to supporting students academic, social, and emotional well-being.
