The Manager, Business Development, also referred to as the Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategy Generalist, will join Walmart Connects (WMC) in-house Strategy team to help define WMC's long-term business unit strategy and accelerate certain opportunities through M&A deal execution and post-close integration management. The WMC Strategy team is envisioning the future of WMC and its important role within Walmart; reports to the Director, Business Development. This role is onsite only out of our Hoboken, NJ office. What You'll Do: Evaluate new strategies and opportunities to help grow WMC Size market potential and conduct competitive intelligence research to inform recommendations Create actionable recommendations for WMC leadership and Walmart executives Support end-to-end M&A and partnership processes, from opportunity identification, evaluation, and execution, including post-acquisition integration management Develop driver-led, bottoms-up financial models including scenario building Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area. 2 or more years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or corporate strategy with a focus on M&A deal evaluation in technology, retail, media or advertising. Strong financial modeling skills Resourcefulness in research, data collection and analysis to support strategies Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex narratives to executives Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously Benefits & Perks: Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
