As a Lease and Technical Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our lease accounting records, while also providing technical accounting expertise to support our business operations. Responsibilities: Manage the lease accounting process, including lease classification, data gathering, and data entry into our lease accounting system (Oracle & CoStar). Perform technical accounting research and analysis to support the implementation of new accounting standards, specifically ASC 842. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Develop and maintain lease accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP accounting principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including real estate, legal, and finance, to ensure accurate and timely lease accounting records. Conduct regular reviews of lease agreements to ensure compliance with lease accounting standards and identify potential issues or risks. Prepare and present lease accounting reports to senior management and other stakeholders as needed. Assist with the implementation of lease accounting software and other technology solutions to improve lease accounting processes and efficiency. Provide technical accounting expertise to support business operations, including analysis of complex accounting transactions and preparation of technical memos. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; CPA preferred. 2+ years of experience in lease accounting, technical accounting, or related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and ASC 842. Experience with lease accounting software (Oracle, Costar, etc.) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
