Rudd, the iconic 325-year-old London-based wine and spirits company, is preparing to launch in America with its first retail, experiences and membership offering in Washington, D.As the worlds most-trusted fine wine and spirits merchant, we are committed to helping our customers drink better, now and in the future.
Working closely with Jamie Ritchie (MD International and Auctions), you will be responsible for managing the team, focusing on customer acquisition and delivering sales through relationship building and a level of service that is more akin to the hospitality business but also aligned to the Home of Collecting strategy. Rudd standards are maintained to the highest level to optimise customer engagement and service excellence.
Internal: The local Washington based team and supporting functions based in the UK
External: Private and Shop Customers, Producers, Wholesalers, Distributors, media and local service providers
Work closely with the MD International & Auctions to develop and deliver the USA business plan in line with the agreed targets
Develop and deliver agreed annual plans and appropriate customer, sales and service performance measures (revenue, margin, customer acquisition and NPS)
Establish the Year 1 team for the US operation; Provide leadership and direction to the local teams, ensuring that hospitality and relationships are the foundation of providing excellent customer service to all customers
Support the performance, growth and development of individual team members
Stay abreast of the competitive environment in market and provide comprehensive and accurate information on the fine wine and spirits market
Develop strong relationships with the Sales & Service team and functional teams based in the UK to ensure operational efficiency and consistently high levels of customer service
focus on delivering the numbers and passionate about helping to establish BB&R in the USA
Great all-round business and management skills
Will have led B2C sales teams within businesses that have a high service/luxury culture
Adaptable to our way of doing business and extremely flexible we are a start up
Part of the next gen of the wine business and wine drinkers who understands the experiential nature required of the current and future wine business
Exemplary communication skills, both internally and externally
Skilled in delegation and coaching, and comfortable empowering others
Fine wine expertise not a must better to have great people and management skills
Hospitality and relationship building experience is beneficial.
