One is pleased to be partnering with a national law firm's Minneapolis office in their search for an Patent Agent with a minimum of two years' experience and background in engineering and/or computer science. USPTO registration is preferred.
Prepare, draft and file patent applications.
Perform research and analysis, and provide guidance on a variety of patent and IP-related issues.
Conduct database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses
Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation
Draft patent applications and responses to office actions; Proven working experience as a patent agent
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
Extensive computer and database expertise
A background in mechanical, electrical, biomedical computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is required.
