Mid-Continent Group is seeking motivated candidates for our Underwriting Internship, starting April–May through the summer of 2026. Internships typically span 10 weeks and serve as a potential pathway to a rewarding career in insurance.

We value the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees. Assist underwriters in evaluating and analyzing risk for commercial general liability insurance policies.
Research industry trends, market conditions, and competitor analysis.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on risk assessment and policy development.
Assist in the review and processing of insurance applications and renewals.
Learn and utilize underwriting software and tools to support daily tasks.
Networking
Interns will connect with peers, employees, and leaders across the company. Activities include networking with fellow interns, lunch-and-learns, and long-term career development.
Proven leadership through work experience, internships, campus involvement, or extracurricular activities
• Strong communication, analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Self-driven and adaptable, especially in hybrid or virtual work environments
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program; Insurance & Risk Management majors encouraged
