We are seeking a highly skilled
Surgical Technologist I
to join our team at Norman Regional Health System, providing top-notch patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services department.
About the Position:
The
Surgical Technologist I
is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment during various surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
Preparing operating rooms and equipment for each procedure.
Assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations.
Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
Participating in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications:
Degree in Surgical Technology or related field, with certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical technology, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), with Cath Lab experience preferred.
