Job Summary:

CRNA provides total anesthesia care to patients requiring anesthesia services, including pre-anesthetic evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergency care, as well as post-anesthetic care and pain management.

Responsibilities:

Pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation
Anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergency care
Post-anesthetic care
Pain management
Responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Requirements:

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA)
Current license as Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
Current recognition as a CRNA by NCBON
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Certification/recertification by National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
Current privileges as a CRNA at CarolinaEast
Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer

Sign-on bonus for new graduate CRNAs: $100,000 / 4-year commitment

Student sign-on bonus: $30,000 upon hire, with $1,500/month stipend while in school, capped at $54,000, and $1,200/month loan repayment over 5 years, capped at $72,000 / 5-year commitment
