Job Title : Building Engineer
Location : 1601 East 19th Avenue, Denver, CO
Assignment Duration : 4 months (Potential for extension or conversion to FTE)
Work Hours : Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts (Flexible schedule: 6 AM-6 PM or 7 AM-7 PM), with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 4 days on, 4 days off.
Rate : $40/hour
Work Environment : In-person, at a hospital facility

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to join our team at a hospital facility in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of boiler experience, proficiency in preventative maintenance, and the ability to work efficiently in an in-person, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining facility operations, including boilers, chillers, and lighting systems, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment, including boilers and chillers across the facility.
  • Assist contractors with project work and coordinate on-site activities.
  • Respond to work orders generated in the system and provide time and material estimates for repairs.
  • Order necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain an energy management program, optimizing system performance to reduce operating costs.
  • Maintain building lighting systems, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
  • Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of boiler operation experience
  • Certifications/Licenses :
    • Stationary Engineer License (Required)
    • CFC License (Preferred)
Skills/Software Proficiencies:
  • Strong technical skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with operating and maintaining boilers and chillers
Top Must-Have Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with boiler systems
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a hospital environment
Interview Process:
  • Two interviews:
    • One phone interview
    • One in-person interview
