DutiesAs a Management and Program Analyst, you will:Serve as a key member of the DOE Isotope Program, responsible for the planning and organization of expert peer review of scientific and industrial efforts.Assess, review, and research policies and procedures to ensure office compliance with regulations, requirements, and limitations regarding Federal Advisory Committees.Organize large public meetings with varied stakeholders.Manage the office research grant and cooperative agreement actions with automated systems and track performance.Manage the office personnel actions. QualificationsSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the followingManaging research grant/cooperative agreement actions using automated systems to analyze and research action statuses.Organizing peer review of research proposals to include assembling teams of experts, writing reports, and managing databases.Advising and training staff on policy strategies to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory commitments.Overseeing and organizing public meetings with a varied group of stakeholders such as industrial and academic representatives.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
