This is a 2nd Shift role

Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development programs within Raytheon. Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. An opportunity exists for an electrical engineer to join the Patriot Missile team responsible for production testing of Guidance Enhanced Missile Electronics and subsystems.

Primary responsibilities include supporting test and troubleshooting of RF, IF, Microwave, Analog and Digital hardware for Patriot Missile Downlink and the Modular Digital Guidance System and Forebody. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment. Extensive on the job training will be provided.

What You Will Do

  • Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures

  • Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause

  • Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process

  • Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yield

  • Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production

  • Working with Test Equipment Maintenance and Repair team to maintain test station availability and compliance

  • Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed

  • Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware

  • Supporting production test of Patriot Missile Downlink, and other sub-systems as well as the Forebody, Modular Digital Guidance system, subsystems and components on functional test platform

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong RF test / troubleshooting skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to travel as required

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Linux systems, MATLAB and Labview

  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization

  • Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Active SECRET clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
