Job Summary and Qualifications- Demonstrates clinical expertise in creating and maintaining a sterile field.
- Plans and provides equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in assisting physician as it relates to specific procedures.
- Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care.
- Participates in on-call assignments and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.
- Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within the Cath Lab and in the Holding Area to assist in the smooth operation of the department.
- Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings and documents information appropriately.
- Actively looks at improving patient care and process improvement.
- Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in-services
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
- Maintains a safe working environment to include radiation safety/appropriate personal protection attire.
- Communicates effectively with peers, managers, ancillary departments and other customers.
- Contributes to orientation/training of new staff (level II and above)
CVS Level TWO
EXPERIENCE:
Required –Allied health care professional, or CVS 1, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a cath lab setting.
EDUCATION:
Required -(BLS) Basic Life Support from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) andACLS-required within 180 days of employment.
Hours: Full time, day shift (weekdays only)
