Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to initiate and develop agent relationships while providing superior service to agents who are not already working with Ritter. The role involves developing strategic plans and marketing campaigns for agent recruitment within the assigned territory, initiating agent relationships, reaching annual/quarterly benchmarks for new agent contracts and production, and assisting agents with the Ritter Platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plan and marketing campaigns for agent recruitment within assigned territory.

  • Initiate agent relationships within assigned territory.

  • Reach annual/quarterly benchmark for new agent contracts and production within assigned territory.

  • Establish methods and procedures for obtaining specific goals and objectives, working from detailed and general instructions.

  • Maintain current status on all sales leads as received and move lead through Ritter Sales Flow process.

  • Update leads through conversion process and convert agent leads from various sources to active contracted agent.

  • Assist agents with the Ritter Platform, including offering overview of Ritter tools, services, and philosophy, providing contracting instruction and recommendations, and assisting with agent registration.

  • Act as back-up to other Agent Sales Advisors on sales leads, calls, and emails as needed.

  • Attend sales events, trade shows, and road shows to initiate relationships. Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Understanding of insurance and agent relationship.

  • Familiarity with Sales, Marketing, Contracting, and New Business operations and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of all products in assigned territory.

  • Experience as an Agent Sales Assistant or Team Support Coordinator for a year, if no prior experience.

  • Proficiency in communication, especially over the phone.

  • Competence in computer and typing skills.

  • Excellence in customer service skills.

  • Possession of soft sales skills.

  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Physical ability to perform sedentary work, sit most of the time, and exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
