Kennedy Krieger School Programs | Kennedy Krieger Institute During the school year, the position is 16 hours per week, working Monday and Tuesday from 7:45am-3:45pm. During the summer, the position is 15 hours per week, working Monday and Tuesday from 7:45am-3:15pm. Benefits You Will Receive * $2000 RN referral bonus * $10,500/year tuition advancement/reimbursement for employees earning undergrad and graduate degrees (pro-rated for 16-39 hours/week) * 50% college tuition grant for dependents of eligible employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week up to $32,000/year * Recently increased differentials * Student loan repayment for employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week ($100 per month up to $10,500) * Relocation assistance * Bonus incentive for a masters degree * Bonus incentive for nursing certification * Medical, Dental, Vision (active the month after you attend HR) most places make you wait 3-6 months) * Enhanced Mental Health Benefits * 401K Automatic 3% employer-funded "base contribution" with additional 1.5%-3% based on years of service * Sick accrual upon first day of work * Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (Child Care Spending Account) $20o0 for each eligible child through the age of 6; $600 for each child age 7-10 * Progressive Career Ladder with salary increase * Program to earn free CEUs * Free secure and monitored parking Responsibilities * Maintain a cumulative health record on each student. * Develop individualized health care plans, emergency action plans, and bus plans as needed for students with special health concerns. * Administer medications * Administer first aid and treats illnesses * Assure that all students are in compliance with the Maryland state law for immunizations. * Maintain and organize medical equipment and supplies for the school health suite. * Assist with and/or provides annual hearing and vision screenings * Monitor height, weight, pulse, and blood pressure of designated students. * Serve as a liaison between family, school personnel, and health care providers. * Participate in pre-admission and Annual Team Meeting or Annual Individual Education Plan Meeting review for students with identified health needs. * Participates on a nursing committee (attends 75% of meetings, or routinely completes an assigned task for the committee, or may serve as a co-chair). Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required and minimum of 1 year pediatric experience preferred. License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.
