The Electrical Engineer III position is a senior-level position collaborating with team members to design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems. They apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Being an Electrical Engineer III performs testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards. Conducts simple to moderate research and studies on new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical oversight and leadership to junior members of the electrical design team. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and complete design goals.
  • Constructs and completes an advanced electrical system schematic and Bill of Materials for complex equipment involving strong chemicals.
  • Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
  • Design for compliance with industry standards (NEC, UL, NFPA, CE, SEMI, etc).
  • Approve and initialize the purchase parts specification process, working with the Materials team, ensuring all parts have adequate and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Ensure all assemblies and panels follow RENA and Industry Best Practices for design and Manufacturability.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 9+ years experience in electrical power systems design.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software and design vaults.
  • Advanced knowledge of integrating electrical heaters, pumps, PLC's, computers, and controllers.
  • Advanced knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, and industry standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and project management skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Standard office environment including work at a computer terminal. Work involves extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
