Position Summary



Manager, Operational Transfer PricingThis role is at the confluence of two competencies – Transfer Pricing and Technology/Process Optimization. Transfer pricing (TP) on a global scale – a multidisciplinary field that integrates economics, business, finance, legal, and tax principles in the analysis of global intercompany transactions. Within the broader area of TP, the domain of OTP covers various systems and processes that clients use to implement the transfer pricing policies and accurately calculate figures for financial and tax reporting compliance in various countries. Data analytics and technology play an increasingly important role in how our clients set and monitor intercompany pricing to implement transfer pricing principles. Over 100 countries now require compliance with their transfer pricing regulations and most companies are still playing catch up to upgrade their systems and processes. This is now one of our fastest growing TP areas. We are aggressively investing in our OTP practice to appropriately respond to the ever-increasing demand from our clients. If you have experience with transfer pricing processes and a passion for data, technology, and the mindset to conceptualize these complex and evolving needs, Deloitte has the perfect position for you  What You'll DoAs an Operational Transfer Pricing Manager/SM you will work with our transfer pricing and technology leaders to understand client concerns, conceptualize solutions, and deliver OTP solutions. While on one hand, you will propose, design and drive agile bespoke solutions, on the other you will grow into subject matter experts around transfer pricing processes for our large Finance Transformation and ERP Implementation projects.You will get a chance to support our OTP leadership in driving this practice forward and launch a strong career for yourself at Deloitte.Responsibilities will include:Work with OTP leadership group to coordinate and drive various efforts around practice developmentSales: Apply transfer pricing process knowledge to understand client challenges and offer creative solutions. Help organize client workshops to understand OTP (and associated FP&A, Accounting and Technology) requirements.Design and Deliver Solutions: Collaborate with TP, FP&A, Accounting and Technology teams in design and delivery of OTP solutions, while managing a team of younger professionals.OTP Tool Portfolio Management: Develop an understanding of current portfolio of Deloitte and non-Deloitte tools, while supporting further development/ enhancement of such tools.OTP Talent Development: By leveraging Deloitte’s recruiting and training capabilities, work with OTP leadership team to grow and train Deloitte’s OTP team.Hands on data wrangling and programming on relevant data management tools is preferred.The TeamEuromoney Magazine and the International Tax Review have consistently rated Deloitte's transfer pricing group as a top practice, both in the United States and globally. Fortune, Business Week, and Working Mother magazines consistently rank Deloitte among the best places to work.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in a role combining management of transfer pricing processes for a multinational company, transfer pricing consulting, and familiarity with data management and analysis systemsKnowledge of Data Management tools, such as advanced Excel, VB, Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, and Python.Comfort with understanding data and complicated calculations involving multiple data sourcesAbility to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
