Radiology Opportunity - Laurinburg, NC

Charlotte Radiology is seeking radiologists to join our practice in a NC community hospital located on the SC line close to Pinehurst, the coast, and metropolitan areas in the Carolinas. The ideal candidate would have an interest in general body, emergency/urgent care and advanced thoracic and abdominopelvic imaging. In addition, basic procedural skills such as CT and US-guided percutaneous interventions is preferred, but not absolutely required. The position would best fit a self-motivated individual who is looking to build his or her local practice while enjoying the suburban and rural beauty of the Carolinas.

Responsibilities include:
  • Diagnostic imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis
  • Applicants must have American Board of Radiology certification (or be board eligible and actively pursuing certification). Subspecialty training in body imaging or cardiothoracic imaging is a plus for one position, and non-vascular interventional capabilities are desired for the second position.

Over the last 50 years, we have become one of the largest and most progressive radiology groups in the nation, and a founding partner of US Radiology Specialists since 2018. In addition to offering 24/7 coverage for 19 hospitals, we also own and operate 17 breast centers, a mobile mammography program, 2 vein centers, several vascular and interventional clinics, and jointly own and operate 6 free-standing imaging centers. Our physician team is active in research and clinical trials and has authored many scientific papers and presentations in multiple sub-specialties of radiology. The group has a strong relationship with Atrium Health and actively participating in the growth of the new Wake Forest School of Medicine Charlotte and The Pearl innovation district.

The practice is located at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC and currently has 3 radiologists. SMH is a financially strong, progressive 104 bed hospital with close to 90 physicians.

Living In Scotland County or Nearby Moore County:
  • Laurinburg is a smaller, family community with a low cost of living, active downtown, and plenty of space for outdoor activities and recreation. The town is home to St. Andrews University, an equestrian center, and Richmond Community College. Social events include Laurinburg After Five, the John Blue Cotton Festival, the Highland Games, and Springfest.

Position Requirements:
  • ABR certified or eligible and actively pursuing certification
  • CAQ eligible/certified
