At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. -The G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit focuses on the diagnoses and treatment of various malignancies and hematologic diseases, from new diagnosis to the end of life. The dedicated caregivers on this unit provide the highest quality, safest care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, radioactive iodine and other types of radiation therapies. G70 has a positive, team-oriented and supportive culture with daily 7am huddles for both the night shift and day shift to start/end their shift with an optimistic mindset. Within six months of starting on this unit, nurses can become "chemo-competent" and become experts at administering chemotherapy and understanding chemotherapy reactions. -A caregiver in this position works a day/night shift rotation working either 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. - -A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -
  • Provide direct nursing care. -
    • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - -
      • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. - -
        • Administer prescribed medications and treatments. -
          • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - -
            • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. -
              • Educate patients and their families. - - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
                • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. - -
                  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - -
                    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). -
                      • One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience. -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
