Our internships are rooted in individual growth, professional development, business exposure and project ownership. Interns primarily spend their time focused on their assigned area of the business. Throughout the summer, intern program managers will host a variety of development focused activities to enhance professional development, provide exposure to all aspects of our business, and engagement events with fellow interns.

Community Relations Intern

Program Summary

  • Duration: 11 weeks, Summer 2025 Dates: June 2nd August 15th

  • Site Visits

  • Weekly IKE Sessions (Information Knowledge Exchange) with Senior leadership

  • Skills Workshops

  • Weekly Coffee Chats + Coffee with the CEO

  • Final projects and presentations

  • Engagement events

Job Summary

Support community programs, events and activities to help BJs live its purpose of taking care of the families who depend on us.

  • Grant program administration, reporting and documentation.

  • Planning and coordination of annual events such as Boston Childrens Hospital Corporate Cup and BJs Charity Championship.

  • Assist with material preparation, team member communications, administrative details and more.

  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate summer volunteer events.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Able to work hybrid schedule in Marlborough, MA. Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, masters program, etc.

  • Preferred majors: Communication, Marketing, Business/Project Management, etc.

  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to roll-up your sleeves and learn.

  • Agile and eager to work with diverse stakeholders and tasks.

  • Strong passion for supporting communities.

  • Strong communication skills, presentation skills and able to work cross functionally.

  • Project management and/or event planning experience preferred.

  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Email) required.

  • Canva experience preferred.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
