What You Will Do:

  • Provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Windows & RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.

  • Knowledge of Linux Server internals to include DNS, File sharing protocols, DHCP, AD integration via LDAP, file system structures and permissions.

  • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

  • Knowledge of data backup uses and technologies.

  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.

  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.

  • Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate. Frequency up to 25%.

  • Full time 100% onsite position

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Windows OSs and administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, LDAP)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Windows OSs and administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, LDAP)

  • Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

  • Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities.

  • Must be able to real-time troubleshoot and develop solutions with documentation to a variety of technical problems.

  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products.

  • Experience with NAS and / or SAN storage capabilities

  • Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment.

  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF

  • Scanning and auditing tools such as Nessus and Splunk

  • Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) Environments

  • Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP

  • Experience dealing with Managed Anti-Virus (AV) solutions.

  • Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart

  • Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
