The Role

We are a small team of personal injury attorneys, looking to appoint an experienced and pro-active Medical Malpractice Paralegal to our growing team.

You will provide comprehensive support to our team of nationally recognized attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of all medical malpractice cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Intake calls from prospective clients.
Obtaining and organizing pertinent medical records.
Obtaining and preparation of medical bill spread sheets.
Obtaining collateral source information.
Communication with clients, experts, attorneys.
Scheduling appointments, depositions, hearings, expert meetings.
Calculating and calendaring deadlines, Travel arrangements.
Drafting presuit discovery requests and responses.
Drafting litigation discovery requests and responses.
Preparation, filing, and service of litigation documents.
Research and Investigative tasks.

The Person

5 years’ experience.
Full knowledge of State/Federal e-filing systems.
Prior medical malpractice case experience.
Familiarity with Florida Statute, Chapter 766 and Florida’s presuit requirements.
Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet presuit and litigation deadlines.
Ability to request, organize, review and interpret medical records.
Ability to draft discovery requests and responses.
Familiarity with case management software (preferably Aderant Total Office).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, research and investigative skills.
Deadline and detail oriented.
