Our client, a consumer/commercial hand-held tools manufacturing company, is seeking an Electronic Hardware Technician to join their team. As an Electronic Hardware Technician, you will be part of the components Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in schematic capture (Cadence), surface mount technology (SMT), design of testing fixtures and sourcing of electronic products on the internet. This is a direct hire role.
Job Title: Electronics Hardware Technician
Location: Lincolnshire IL
Pay: $35-43/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Electronic Component evaluations (I.C, Resistors, Capacitors, other)
  • To support engineers and designers in the development of new automotive electronic diagnostic products. Electronic circuit prototyping and debug
  • Assemble and solder Surface mount printed circuit boards
  • Perform non-routine assignments in accordance with Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products department policy supporting product development teams with: Technical information, assistance, testing and release of product.
  • Perform entry-level design work.

Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent education and 8 years experience or 12 years experience or demonstrated proficiency in Technician Ill Engineering position key tasks for I year. Proficient with Internet for sourcing electronic components, Datasheets, etc.
  • Experience in writing and implementing test procedures, analyzing the results and recommending solutions. Proficient with Excel, Word and email (prefer MS outlook) Experience sourcing and evaluating components.
  • Experience in SMT manufacturing process.
  • Demonstrated ability to Assembly and or solder SMT circuit boards.
  • Experience in Circuit board design process (Design, Schematic capture, Circuit board layout, Test/Debug,
