Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Formulation Technician I to join their team. As a Formulation Technician I, you will be part of the Formulation and Process Development team supporting the production of pharmaceutical Spray Dried Intermediates (SDI) and Solid Dosage Forms (tablets, capsules, sachets) at the Bend, OR site. The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn.

Job Title: Formulation Technician I

Location: Bend, OR

Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00 Hourly OT40

What's the Job?

  • Assist senior group members in designing experiments, drafting protocols, troubleshooting equipment and processes, and gathering experimental data in lab notebooks consistent with company policy and good laboratory practices.
  • Learn to assemble and present technical data to clients and colleagues.
  • Assemble, disassemble, operate and clean process equipment such as spray dryers, tablet presses, mills, roller compactors, fluid beds, hot melt extruders, and blenders.
  • Perform routine powder and tablet characterization.
  • Perform general maintenance on research & development (R&D) process and laboratory equipment as needed.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree in physical science, chemistry, chemical science, material science, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of technical experience in research lab or pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Good work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
