The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our warehouse facility. This position requires a versatile individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Shift: 8am-4:30pm

Status: Temp to Hire

Pay: $20+/hr dependent upon experience

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
* Inspecting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
* Conducting regular inspections of facility equipment and machinery.
* Performing preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment such as conveyor systems, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
* Addressing maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
* Responding to emergency maintenance situations and resolving them efficiently.
* Conducting repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning equipment and fixtures.
* Assisting with facility renovations and upgrades as needed.
* Maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and replenishing them as necessary.
* Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
* Participating in training programs to stay updated on maintenance techniques and best practices.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
* Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.
* Relevant certifications or licenses may be advantageous.
* Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
