Local manufacturing company is looking for machine operatiors. The Press Operator is chosen for his/her performance and knowledge of production operations. The person chosen for this position leads by example, pays attention to detail, follows instructions and assists the Manufacturing Manager with all production items.

Essential Job Functions:
• Proper use of equipment.
• Accurate reading and following of work order instructions.
• Recording part counts, lot, batch and cure (if applicable) and scrap amounts.
• Tooling loading, use and storage as well as identification.
• Proper packaging (i.e., protect materials throughout handling and shipping).
• Proper labeling of product (how many labels and label content-P/N, Qty, Lot, etc.).
• Equipment preventative maintenance (if requested and trained to perform).
• Ryobi and other customer cycle counts.
• Identification and communication of waste during fabrication.
• Storage and identification of raw material stock.
• Recording of labor for parts produced.
• Clean up of shop area- responsibilities.
• Record run parameters.
• Follow safety protocol in your area.
• Contribute to production feasibility meetings (if requested).

Knowledge & Skills:
• Excellent physical strength and stamina
• Excellent time-management skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail

Education and Experience (Final Determination made by Hiring Manager):
Minimum high school or equivalent/minimum < 1 year in a related fiel

Physical Requirements:
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items of 50 pounds. Must have close visual acuity. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust.
