Position Summary:

This position is for an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Infectious Diseases, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia.

Applicant is expected to work closely with Prof. Biao He (PI) conducting research related to understanding viral pathogenesis and development of vaccines. The applicant will be responsible for experimental design, data analyses, interpretation, project management, and results summarization. Applicant is expected to write research publications on the research they conduct and also to contribute to grant proposals. Applicant is also expected to assist with mentoring students in the laboratory.

Additional Requirements:

Applicants with a PhD degree should have 5+ years of research experience in studies of viral pathogenesis, and development of viral vector vaccine platforms, particularly using paramyxoviruses. Recent (in past 5 years) outstanding publication record in the subject matters is a must.
