MLR is searching for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist who specializes in Cardiology and will perform specialized nuclear medicine procedures focused on cardiac imaging. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in nuclear medicine technology, particularly in cardiology, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and analyze nuclear cardiology procedures, including myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI), cardiac PET scans, and MUGA scans.
Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging studies.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals specific to cardiac imaging.
Perform and document quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of imaging results.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
Maryland DEP License.
Proficiency in nuclear cardiology procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent patient care skills.
In-depth understanding of radiopharmaceuticals used in cardiac imaging, and knowledge of radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
