Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Cardiology Specialist

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiology Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting and analyzing nuclear cardiology procedures, including myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI), cardiac PET scans, and MUGA scans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and analyze nuclear cardiology procedures, including MPI, cardiac PET scans, and MUGA scans.
  • Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging studies.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals specific to cardiac imaging.
  • Perform and document quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of imaging results.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Maryland DEP License.
  • Proficiency in nuclear cardiology procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent patient care skills.
  • In-depth understanding of radiopharmaceuticals used in cardiac imaging, and knowledge of radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
