*Position Overview:* The *Paralegal *researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist the Corporate Counsel by performing a variety of support duties.

*Schedule:* Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

*Responsibilities:*
* Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes.
* Prepares legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, interrogatory and subpoena responses, contracts, real estate leases, closing documents, initial and amended articles of incorporation and organization, and buy-sell agreements for review, approval, and use by the legal staff.
* Assist in assembling and turning over documents and other information requested by outside counsel.
* Work on due diligence projects and help prepare for corporate closings and transactions.
* Create and maintain filing and tracking systems for case management, legal documents, licenses, and registrations.
* Draft detailed reports and memoranda.
* Reviews and audits outside counsel invoices.
* Research, track, and draft comments on proposed legislative rules and regulations.
* Prepare and file bonds, replevin actions, motions for relief, reaffirmation agreements, and other court filings.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Ideal Candidate Qualifications:*
* High Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

* Problem Solving/Analysis
* Effective Oral and Written Communication
* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Paralegal certification.
* Experience with one or more of the following will be considered an asset: civil litigation, bankruptcy, insurance, the transportation industry, government contracts, debtor-creditor law, real estate, and corporate governance.
