Job Description
Visiting Faculty to teach Business Computing (CSE 148) on a per-course basis for Fall Semester 2024. CSE 148 is an introduction to business-oriented computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SQL (structured query language). Extensive hands-on use of electronic spreadsheets and database software by students. Examples and exercises will stress problem-solving in a business context. Course assignments are made on a semester basis. Course may be taught face-to-face or online depending on need. Ability to teach online limited to specific states.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Educational Technology or a closely related field or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Educational Technology or a closely related field with a minimum of five years working in a professional environment.
Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive experience in business computing or prior teaching experience who can document excellence in the classroom and candidates with significant professional experience with the relevant applications and business computing concepts taught in CSE 148.
