Position Title: RN ED/ER
Pay Rate: up to $62/hr

License Requirement: Georgia RN license (Pending Accepted)

*Job Summary:*
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RN will perform a variety of tasks that promote patient safety, comfort, and well-being in a fast-paced environment. The RN is expected to utilize critical thinking skills, prioritize patient needs, and work effectively under pressure.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Patient Care:*
* Triage patients based on acuity and initiate appropriate interventions.
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with varying medical conditions, from minor injuries to critical illnesses.
* Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
* Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
* *Collaboration:*
* Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
* Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
* *Emergency Response:*
* Respond to emergency situations with life-saving interventions.
* Assist with the stabilization and transfer of critically ill patients.
* Participate in code blue and other emergency protocols.
* *Compliance and Safety:*
* Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including infection control and safety standards.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* *Professional Development:*
* Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain nursing licensure and competencies.
* Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of nursing practices in the ED.
* Mentor and precept new staff or nursing students as needed.
