Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $54.17 - $60.93 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Department:

759100 Electrocardiology

Expectations:

Under limited supervision, produces sonographic scans for medical diagnosis. Involves positioning of patients and adjusting equipment appropriately to produce diagnostic cardiac scans. Records pertinent information relating to the production of the ultrasound scan. Provides written, unofficial technical worksheet of the examination to the cardiologist and any other physician. This position may require flexibility of hours.
This position requires the ability to take on-call for patients requiring emergency procedures.

EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum 1 year experience as a echo technologist preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) or Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Certification issued by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or current Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

SKILLS:
Organization Skills. Ability to perform all required echo tests according to established standards. Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, ultrasound equipment, safety hazards common to the equipment used, isolation procedures and body fluid precautions.
