Responsible for system clinical leadership, strategic and operational direction and administration and management of employed provider operations in Piedmont Healthcare & Physician Enterprise. Where appropriate and needed, supports the system-wide development and implementation of the strategic vision and overall direction of anesthesia; including opportunities for system market expansion and growth, acquisitions and efficient and high-quality performance throughout the service line.
This position will report to the Senior Corporate Vice President accountable for Anesthesia, with a dotted line to Physician Enterprise leadership. The position serves as the senior clinical leader, accountable for the overall development, quality and performance for the anesthesia practices.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Doctor Osteopathic Medicine or a Doctor of Medicine degree from a recognized school of medicine and fellowship trained in Anesthesiology.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience in a senior management position in a medical practice setting, healthcare administration or a closely related field is required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

  • Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology
  • Georgia Medical License to Practice Anesthesiology

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-graduate degree in healthcare or business administration preferred. Strong working knowledge of healthcare industry and experience if running complex anesthesiology practice in a multi-hospital system.
