Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x4, 48 hrs per week Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Off every third weekend
Requirements:
  • ME License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience (experience with Critical patients requiring ventilator support typically transferred to larger facility)
  • Skills: Management of dysrhythmias, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Telemetry
  • Critical Care or IMC Course
  • ACLS
  • BLS
Other Details:
  • Unit accepts first time travelers
  • Out of state travelers only
  • Traveler will float to a medsurg assignment if no SCU level patient on unit
  • Omnicell, CERNER, SBAR

JOB DETAILS:Target Ratios: 1:3Shift: 4x12 Days 07:00-19:30Call Requirement: NoneFloat Requirement: Traveler will float to a medsurg assignment if no SCU level patient on unit.Weekend Requirement: Off every third weekend
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:COVIDRespiratory DistressPost Cardiac ArrestDKACardiac Dysrhythmia requiring IV drips
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: ED physician, nursing supervisor, and Respiratory therapy in house 24/7. Critical patients requiring ventilator support typically transferred to larger facility.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Telemetry monitoring. Capnography capabilities.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, CERNER, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24hrs - Two twelve hour shifts for orientation.
SCRUBS: Navy Blue
COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - No Exemptions
Unit: 00 - Special Care Unit
