The company's systems integrate easily with renewable energy options to reduce carbon impact and are adaptable to use-specific power demands.
Summary
We are seeking an electrical engineer with 5+ years of experience in power electronics design, with an emphasis on systems in the 1kW to 500kW range. Experience with high voltage batteries, charging systems, MESS systems, and/or EV charging is a plus. Experience with Battery Management Systems a plus.
Key Qualifications
--- System-level design experience with batteries, power converters, inverters, DC-DC converters, battery chargers and/or Battery Management Systems.
--- Experience with circuit level design and simulation.
--- Strong knowledge of magnetic components used in high power conversion (transformers, filters, inductors.)
--- Hands-on experience with power electronics testing, characterization and applicable test equipment and methods.
--- Experience with agency certification requirements for high power consumer and/or industrial systems.
--- Experience and ability to follow a structured development process with exceptional documentation skills.
--- Familiarity with inter-module communications protocols such as CAN, RS485, etc.
--- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain technical issues.
--- Ability to work closely with suppliers on sourcing or developing components in support of state-of-the art designs. --- Willing and able to travel approximately 20% of the time.
--- Ability to effectively interface to customers and establish strong relationships with customer technical team.
--- Must be U.S. citizen
Educational Requirements
BSEE, MSEE or Ph.D in electrical engineering from an accredited university, preferably in the United States.
Optional Pluses --- Mandarin language skill
