Position Overview: Our team at Vocovision is currently assisting a K-12 school district in Georgia set up interviews for their remote School Psychologist Position. As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the psychological and academic needs of students within our district. This position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized intervention plans and support strategies.
Provide direct counseling services to students, either individually or in groups, to address various concerns and promote healthy coping mechanisms.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational plans for students with disabilities.
Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on issues related to student behavior management, crisis intervention, and mental health support.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders.
Stay current on best practices, research, and relevant laws and regulations in the field of school psychology.
Requirements:
Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Georgia.
Experience working with K-12 students in a school or educational setting.
Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including knowledge of various assessment tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in using technology for virtual assessments, counseling, and collaboration (e.g., video conferencing platforms, digital assessment tools).
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with professional guidelines and laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Experience providing virtual or teletherapy services.
Knowledge of special education laws and practices.
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
