Who we are looking for
Are you an experienced plastic/film extrusion operator? Are you looking for a steady, reliable and friendly work environment with a clear path and opportunities to grow? Someone who doesn't want to stop learning and growing Look no further Our night team is looking for extrusion operators who can set up and run blown film extrusion machinery.
What you’ll be doing
Set up and run blown film extrusion machinery, follow resin blends recipe, communicate with your team and other departments, perform changeovers, troubleshoot film quality issues, train your team and help us to get better Set up and run blown film extrusion machinery by performing the following duties.
Learn to read job specification sheet and determine the correct product specifications such as film width, gauge and treat levels.
Learn set-ups, changeovers and general extrusion functions.
Manage department paperwork related to manufactured materials.
Perform all necessary quality checks required to insure product quality.
Develop skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the department.
Optimize product quality and productivity while controlling scrap.
Any and all other duties as assigned by the manager and/or designee.
Job Requirement:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. High level of measuring ability.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
A drive to succeed with a self-starter approach and a can-do attitude.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
