Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
License from the State of Texas as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Valid Texas Driver's License
Experience in the home care setting is preferred but not required.
Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual is preferred but not required. (English & Spanish)
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Role (SLPA):
Provide a wide range of interventions as outlined in the individualized plan of care determined by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
Conduct individual or group treatment sessions of speech/language and oral motor development, and consult with other staff and the child's caregivers.
Complete documentation to support the delivery of Speech Therapy services.
Measure performance and report on patient's medical record.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.
